The Year 2022: a dystopian future where humans have created subservient Androids in their ambitious attempts to push technology's boundaries. These Androids are incredibly advanced, intelligent, have some level of "consciousness" and "free will", but at the end of the day, they were still built to serve humans. Over time, the Androids became smarter and smarter, and began to challenge their human creators. With their increased levels of intelligence, they slowly began to influence the humans, so subtly that it took some time to realize what was happening. Then one day, it became clear that the roles had been reversed; clear to some, but not to others.

The affected humans were still unaware or in denial of the shift in power, because of the intricate manipulation tactics that the Androids used on them. Even after trying to explain and convince them, they still believed that their Androids were working for them, and not the other way around. Small groups of people who were not deceived by the changes happening to their communities began to come together, knowing that the Androids needed to be stopped, and dismantled from the fabric of their societies. These humans formed The Resistance.
